Dr. David Waggoner brings more than 28 years of experience as a leader, coach, and consultant in leadership, human, and organization development. With over 7,000 hours of individual and team coaching, he has a proven record of developing executives, teams, and programs that pair interpersonal effectiveness with innovative organizational strategy.
David helps leaders build self-awareness across the core skills of human interaction: communication, executive presence, influence, managing networks, negotiation, and navigating conflict. His work blends provocative critical thinking, practicality, and social intelligence, grounded in a belief in treating people with respect, passion, and energy. That rare mix of practitioner, specialist, and scholar lets him meet professionals in the uncertainty and ambiguity they face.
David has held senior leadership, learning, and organization development roles across diverse industries. Most recently, he shaped the global leadership and organizational development strategy for Sony Pictures Entertainment, driving execution internationally. He works cross-culturally across North America, Asia-Pacific, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East, with clients including Amazon, Boeing, Coca-Cola, Google, Mastercard, Microsoft, Netflix, Salesforce, Toyota, and Visa.
David holds a Doctorate in Organization Development and Change with a concentration in Evidence-Based Coaching, plus master's degrees in Counseling Psychology and in Organization Development and Change. He is an ICF Master Certified Coach and holds more than 25 additional certifications, including Hogan, Korn Ferry, Gallup CliftonStrengths, EQ-i 2.0, Thomas-Kilmann, and DiSC.
