Making Difficult Interactions Productive

Goal

This workshop is designed to assist participants in creating an environment which fosters useful feedback and channels productive confrontations for greater alignment and increased positive morale. Each attendee will gain strategies for acknowledging and addressing conflict, as well as recognizing and reinforcing productive behaviors for better outcomes and team results.

Objectives

  • Assess your most often-used style of responding or reacting to conflict situations.
  • Review five commonly used approaches to dealing with conflict, and explore the advantages and disadvantages of each.
  • Practice a proven four-step process for successfully responding to future conflicts.
  • Review and practice corrective feedback formats that invite collaboration and desired behavior changes.
