Dr. Erika Powell | Executive Coach
Dr. Erika Powell is experienced and passionate about fostering transformation in the workplace and creating cultures where employees thrive. As a seasoned executive facilitator, trainer, and coach, she helps individuals, teams, and organizations experience meaningful change and connection by teaching them the art and science of communicating, collaborating, and leading across differences.
For the past 18+ years, Erika creates safe environments where clients can navigate strong emotions, articulate interpersonal disconnects and conflict from a place of vulnerability and authenticity, and also take creative risks. With her, clients experience the alignment and cohesion needed to generate positive outcomes for their team and their organization’s bottom line. Whether working with individuals or groups in virtual, hybrid, or in-person settings, she's passionate about providing personalized, hands-on opportunities to work through business and interpersonal challenges, co-create unique solutions, and help clients quickly achieve breakthroughs in the areas that matters most to them. Erika has had the privilege of working with clients in a variety of sectors, including Financial Services, Manufacturing, Creative/Media/Entertainment, Engineering, Technology, Telecommunications, Transportation, and Health Care both domestically and abroad. She also serves as a lecturer at Sonoma State University’s MBA program, regularly teaching classes on leadership and innovation and also employee engagement & motivation. Bilingual in Spanish, Dr. Powell holds a doctorate in Instructional Technology & Design from the University of Virginia, and a MS.Ed in Intercultural Communication from the University of Pennsylvania, and a BA in Cultural Anthropology from Haverford College. She holds certifications in Learning Transfer from the Association for Talent Development and has received training in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt S. Certified Professional Coach, Dr. Powell is also currently working towards certification as a Mindful Facilitator. On the personal front, Erika is a “furmom” to two very special pups, Magda & Papichulo. In her spare time, she loves taking a good long walk in the redwood forests of Northern California and painting or doodling what she observes around town or whatever spontaneously arises in her imagination. |
